I have to say when I saw the photo's of the new Cruze I was thoroughly disappointed!  I was hoping Chevy would show themselves as the "New Chevy" by differentiating itself from all the other 4 door sedans by making it look different.  But, it just looks like another sedan.  In fact, it just looks like another Chevy sedan.  That means I can speculate it will just have all the problems that Chevy cars have had in the past. What I am getting at is unless customers see a "design" difference it is easy to imagine no improvement from the "Old Chevy".  Further, what would make me buy this car over something like the Toyota Prius?  I can get 60MPG on a Prius AND it looks different than the sedans of the 1990's and 2000's.  (I am not promoting the Prius - just an example).

The name "Cruze" made me think of the PT Cruiser or the FJ Cruiser ...Both have that body style uniqueness.  Both are very popular, I believe, because they do look different (although the PT Cruiser ended up being a mechanical failure...they sold a LOT of them).

Anyway, I was hoping Chevy would come out with something that could attract a little more attention.  I have been a Chevy (truck) fan for years but they still havent shown me a car I would be willing to drive. So, what would make a non-Chevy fan run down and want a Cruze?

Isn't it coming with a smaller 1.5L engine? Possibly what could attract non-chevy fans is it's gas efficiency....Plus it looks better and livelier than the Toyota Corolla.

Come on guys. Compare it with the ageing Civic and boring Corolla Altis and it surely scores well. Its agressive styling surely puts one spellbounded. yes I would agree that they could have done better in the Interior plastics material. but, I think for India, they have done a brilliant Job.
